You will notice a major effort during the month of March to
reach out to people in our community and introduce Christ Covenant to
them. I want to remind each of us that
consider Christ Covenant home of why we are doing all of this as well as what
we are doing:
The Gospel
The news of God’s love for each of us, shown by His grace
through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus is where real life
transformation comes from. As the Gospel
continues to give us life, we need to be purposeful about keeping it in the
forefront of all we do, say, plan and pray for.
Relationships
Most often, the Gospel is communicated through a
relationship. As we welcome people well,
having prepared for them, their children and their needs and then extending
ourselves to them in a personal way, a bridge is built that can communicate the
love of God.
Now, with that foundation, here are some of the activities
we have planned:
March Mailing
During the week of March 18-23 we will be sending out
postcards that introduce Christ Covenant to 2,400 homes near our Plank Rd
location. You will notice the new
banners – themed with the mailing – at our entrance as part of this outreach.
Mission Yard and Bake Sale
While we this event raises funds for our NOLA 2013 Mission
trip, it will also be a great opportunity to welcome people to our location,
introduce the church and our ministry. Click Here for more info.
Hope For Hollygrove With Mama’s Pizza
On Wednesday, March 13, Mama’s Pizza will be donating a
percentage of everything sold between 5-9 pm.
Again, this is a fun-raising event for the NOLA 2013 Mission trip, but
by partnering with Mama’s on this, they are advertising with us to their
customers. Click Here for more info.
Name Tags For Christ Covenant Regulars
We’ve refreshed the Name Tags, so all our regular attending
adults should have one. Remember, you
don’t wear these for yourself, your spouse or your friends. It’s a simple way of letting people you have
never met have a contact point with you. Click Here for more.
Christ Covenant Pens
We have been giving away high quality Christ Covenant
writing pens to people, wait staff, and local merchants. Their customers are using them, and even
asking for them.
